The suspense tag is aptly applied. Absolutely mind blowing. If a Bungie storyline developer came across this I'm ceartin that he/she would want to put it in with the Cortana letters.

Nothing short of amazing...

To answer a few questions, now that plenty of time has passed. The POV was Dr. Catherine Halsey, she was reading this file at some point (perhaps on Reach, perhaps after returning to Earth... no mater), and chose to delete it. It was hard enough realizing that your prize creation was going Rampant, but to add to that Cortana somehow found a way to go back in time and attempt to change history... one can only imagine her shock. Seeing that there really isn't anything she could do about it, she chose to delete the file transmission. This, is simply one of the many, time-alterations that could have taken place because of the crystal's influence. To know if Cortana actually started the war is speculation, and totally way of, but I wanted to have a little fun with the idea that Cortana goes well beyond her programming because of the Gravemind's influence.

Nice story. I've been a fan of your Halo Side Trilogy for some time, and this doesn't dissapoint. I can't help but think of Durandal after reading this... Rampancy is a wonderful thing, isn't it? Anyhow, keep up the good work.

weird, but really good! who is the POV from? (POV meaning Point of View, if u didnt already know)
