After reading all the chapters in one day... I've gotten a strange anger when I read Horo's name... it's most likely because you use his name... a lot. Anyway, I think you shouldn't kill her... yet. Maybe have Horo (Grr) smell the smoke and run in having Hao disappear just as he turns the corner to the kitchen?

well, from beginning to here [4] the story has been very interesting, however I need to make a review for your notice.

Planes do not land on mountains, no matter how 'stable' the ground is, unless there is an airport there. I advise to put a RESCUE helicopter instead.

Planes with those kinds of facilities [as mentioned in chapter 3, you described Horo's jet] are not likely to accommodate his rescue mission, people who are rescue are bought to a vehicle and TREATED IMMEDIATELY WITH FIRST AID.

I don't know about this but should Ren have a frostbite or something [its kinda kewl when the story progressed with one-armed Ren (more drama scenes)].

That is my answer to your question, I hate when parents die because the children are all so depressed and Horo just told Ren he loves him and he's happy but if his mum died he'd be depressed and then Ren'd be depressed and then I’d be depressed. SO please don't. Because then I really would have to kill Hao. And also I like Horo's mum in this story, she's cool. So don't please and you should be happy, ne?
