This is a really well written and well characterised version of a plotline that is a little over-used, but this is one of the best of them.

And I should add, the fact that it's one of the few stories that has actually made my laugh aloud is highly, highly commendable. At the risk of being redundant I must say it's very well written. Hilarious.

There's no other way to put it. It's simply hilarious. Emphasis on the word "hilarious." Spike stays perfectly in character, wonderfully dry and mortified, even as he unsuccessfully attempts to be stoic. Ed is appropriately shocked. Kudos to your writing. Two thumbs up.

I hope you know that I am writing this half way through the story, it's just THAT DAMN GOOD. I can't even put into words how freaking amazing you are, the 'Note to self's were classic.

On another note- are you responsible for my hospital bills? Because While I was reading this I fell off my chair I was laughing so hard. Do I have an insurance claim or something? Heh.

Spike speaking in Ed-talk was epic, I love how he so doesn't give a rats ass. But God, his reaction was so on the dot... And Ed! My gosh, I love Ed XD Spike on morphine has to be the single funniest thing I have ever laid eyes on. Time for some fan art! -off to go scribble- AS per the motif or "dying a little inside"... well, that one was pure unadulterated genius. Good job!

(I laughed so hard at the whole kidney-stone part. I know it's mean, but one of my best friends has had a few, poor girl, and we've nicknamed her the Kidney-Stone-Kid in a sad attempt at humor. So Spike having one was rather hysterical.)

Yes, this scenario is done a lot, but I think you've done Spike the most justice of any author to write this. My compliments.

And no, I've never experienced little deaths of my manhood. I'm usually so emotionally detached that things that should cause that don't result in things like that. *nods* Yeah... That made sense... I think.
