Haha, I loved it! Although I am am hugely anti-Sparribeth, this story is really more about Gibbs and Cotton than Jack and Elizabeth. The beginning was written perfectly - I could actually imagine Gibbs saying all that! And of course, the end was wonderful, too. No one ever pays much attention to poor Mr. Cotton, do they? But I suppose that's just the way he liked it. Nicely done!

I really love your work! I think you are such a talented writer! I think it's great how you have the end piece with Cotton's parrot talking and I LOVE the lines: "This prompted Mr. Cotton to tap the bird on its beak. After all, he knew the importance off keeping mum, even if the parrot didn't. You learned more that way." You really showed me a new perspective for Mr. Cotton. I also thought the way you used Gibbs' POV was great. I love his internal monologue. EXCELLENT JOB!
