I liked it. Quite a bit. It reminds me of a ZoeGirl song. I forgot the title, but it's about Satan and how he tries to get us to turn from God. Or maybe it's the other way around... Anyway, it deals with God and Satan and returning to God and...is kinda like your poem, which is very nice. =D

It's pretty good. I would recommend something with more meter. It's really good, though. You have re-captured my attention. Congratulations.

It's pretty good, and I think I know what you mean when you refer to Satan as a "fool".
Satan is extremely intelligent, far more intelligent than any man... but very intelligent beings can also be fools.

Intelligence is NOT the same as Wisdom. Satan lacks the virtue of Wisdom. He is a fool.

Satan of course will not WILLINGLY cower before the Blessed Trinity, Almighty God... but He does certainly cower before the trinity in the sense that he is aware of the infinite power and majesty of God, and he knows that he cannot possibly defeat it, and he knows that he has brought eternal damnation upon himself by his choice to reject the Perfect Love that is found in the divine trinity.

Of course, calling Satan "nothing" also very much depends upon the interpretation. Certainly he is nothing, as we all are nothing, without God. But this applies in a further sense to Satan - and all demons - who are truly "nothing" in the sense that they have lost everything - by their own choice.
We, as human beings, at least have the opportunity of redemption.

At the same time, we must not, even for a moment, let down our guard against Satan just because we see him as "nothing" ... because he is very real.
He is intelligent to a degree beyond that which we can comprehend, and he is malevolent to a degree beyond that which we can comprehend. His menace to us is very, very real at every moment of our lives.

God did not make Satan evil. God made all things good. But he also made beings who had free will, in order that these beings could share in the greatest reality of God - Love. Of course, free will means the ability to make a choice, or it's not free will at all.
Some of these beings used this ability of choice to chose evil...

Satan is evil by his own choice.

"Entity" (reviewer), you make a few good points, but you also make several rather obtuse comments. So please do not make sweeping generalizations about "Christians" ... especially regarding things that you clearly do not fully comprehend.
Christians come in all kinds of forms, as do all people. In fact, some people who claim to be "Christian" are not Christian at all... but that's another story.
Most Christians do know what they believe, and why they believe it...
If you wish to discuss a point of objection, there's no problem with that. But don't try to condemn all Christians, or more importantly, all of Christianity itself, with rather ridiculous generalizations... just because the one millionth of a percent of Christians that you happen to have encountered have given you a bad impression or said a few things that you don't happen to like.
Please.

Never mind what some person here or there says or does. Look at the actual teachings of the faith, preserved from the time of Christ and the apostles, and learn something. Then there will be something worthwhile to talk about...

God bless all.

Well, first, eh, congrats on finding faith, I guess. I'm not one for faith, but, you know, whatever tickles your tummy.

First, poetry critique --

Your rhythm (was there a rhythm?)

The rhymes were often the same overused rhymes like the ones you see on greeting cards, and the rhyme scheme seemed all over the place.

Not very imaginative imagery, either.

Also, I'd like to point out that any one you ask will tell you Lucifer's cardinal sin is pride - he fought and fell for pride and, in his fall, only his pride is consolation. He will not cower before any - that is simply logic. If he can boldly declare war on God, he will not cower before the son or any part of the trinity, for that matter. Moreover, calling Lucifer 'nothing' is foolish - he was powerful enough to take a third or whatever figure it was of Heaven down with him, powerful enough to actually declare war on God, and powerful enough to (well, from a Christian point of view, anyhow) continue influencing the world and steal people's faith and enact disasters.

Eh, that concludes that. I just hate how people seem to construe Lucifer, particularly Christians, because it seems like none of them admit the fact that Lucifer is 'evil' because God made him that way. It's not his fault, just his destiny. You can call him senseless and animal-like, if you want, but calling him a fool, 'nothing' or cowardly just doesn't fit, y'know?

This was not bad. I think you should have added more about how much better our Lord is compared to Satan, and how much more the Lord has to offer us. Reading it felt like getting part 1 but not part 2. Otherwise, not bad!

Like the Lord would move Heaven and Earth just to make sure that you were safe and away from the clutches of Satan. I loved the end, we left him he did not leave us. Nicely done, as always. Take care and God Bless.
