Oh oh. I get a massive sense of forboding as I read this chapter. I do hope Madison doesn't do irrepareable damage to that blanket, we know how much it means to Nick.

Aw, that was sad. But it was well written and the emotions were expressed perfectly. I wonder how this will end.

Oh Lord. Maddie! I can understand the whole hurt thing, and I've done the irrational not listening to someone speak (I blurted out stuff I never thought I would and the guy (was going to say poor but I don't think he deserves it) couldn't get a word in edge ways before I stormed off... got my point across though lol.

I still feel slightly angry with her though, and in a way I guess its because I know she really wants to listen to Nick, but can't bring herself to do it. I think she knows what she wants, she just want take it, even when its being handed to her and it just angers me lol.

I also feel sorry for Nick. He was trying his best, but because Madison doesn't know the full story, like we do, he had it all pushed back in his face.

The most annoying thing that I think Nick has to come to terms with? Its something that completely annoyed me in a similar situation to this. Its the simple fact that most guys are oblivious idiots. The guy I was talking about before, he didn't have a clue that he'd caused me such pain for so long and its just the same between Nick and Maddie in this story. I never stopped to think how that made the lad feel (in his case probably nothing because he didn't like me that way), but that must be the real thing eating at Nick inside. The fact that this situation, this problem and bad feeling between him and Maddie is of his own creation and he didn't even see it or realise it so that he could stop it (because I think he would've done if he'd known - he's learnt that much from the whole 'Rock Solid' saga).

Brilliant chapter, as you can probably tell it got me thinking and I really enjoyed it, despite the sombre and angry emmotions felt by the characters (I know, I'm evil, but we all need a bit of angst now and then). Great job and please update soon!
