I don't think I've ever read Misa as being this dark, but now that I think about it, your portrayal (which is excellent, by the way) of her makes sense.

How in the world did you get Misa's character nailed down so well? It's so easy to get carried away, labeling her as a "dumb blonde" type, or whatever else. But you're doing an excellent job with her.

The last line just utterly slew me. I did end up giggling at points, I have to admit (still can't take this series too seriously, I'm afraid), but your Misa is just such an utter... I'm not sure what to call her. She starts out kind of sympathetic when she's comparing L to the stalker, but by the end there, she just seems cruel for cruelty's sake. It's chilling.

I love how she slips up from "Misa" to "I" and "me." Very revealing, in a way. And the "acting is fun" line... Chills, I tell you. Chills. I would italicize that if I could. Great, creepy little story.

Wow. I like it. This side of Misa is not really seen in the anime, though it is very believable and more than appropriate considering her character and leanings. Although she is extremely mean in this rendering; it's very much a dark fic. Excellent writing style, though I had hoped you would prolong it a bit. Ah, well. Write more LxMisa stories! Good job! :)

I know this review is terribly late but I just have to review it. This one-shot is magnificiently written. The characterization is dead on and the play on words is beautiful. The thoughts of Misa and the descriptions of Light are so perfect and so in-character. ^^ I love this dark, ugly side to the characters a lot (being an angst writer myself). The ending and imagery of boots to L's death is brilliant. Good luck with future writings. ^_~

Wow, I really really REALLY liked this piece. I think that Misa is a very interesting character but so difficult to get right, and you've nailed her in this story, so congratulations are in order. I liked the format, with the thoughts in brackets, and the dialogue between everyone was just spot on. You captured each moment perfectly, and I just loved the whole thing. Well done!
