I like the story so far. You're especially good with dialog. There are some wrong things with you medical terminology, though. The wires that they attach to heads to read brainwaves are called electrodes. A nurse applies conductant to the scalp and they are held in place by a special glue or a cap. Also, there are four levels of sleep, and two kinds of brain waves, alpha and beta. Stages one and two are light sleep where you dream and you brain is very active (REM sleep is stage 2) and stages three and four are deep sleep where the brain is less active and is in "repair and rest" mode. I realize that this stuff isn't common knowledge but the more accurate are the more real you story becomes to the reader. Also, blood takes days to process because the platelets have to separate from the plasma, it has to be centrifuged and diluted and centrifuged again, then run through several tests. So she wouldn't know any results in less than two days. I hope this helps! :)

What I found most fascinating about your character is her ability to change the colors of things. I wondered if she can change her appearance as well--give herself purple clothes and white hair. It'd be really cool for detective work if your sequel calls for it (You are going to write one aren't you? hope. hope. hope). And could she change the color of other characters, say make Hellboy blue? Good luck with writing!

I just wanted to let you know that you have a good thing going so don't give up. Are you going to pair her up with anyone? i vote for Abe if you are. Just be careful to round out her character otherwise it could get a little mary sue-ish. just a side note, asking for reviews is fine but begging for them gets old fast. besides, if you have a lot of hits it means that people are reading the story. The lack of reviews is probably due to the fact that the Hellboy section is smaller than some and you just started with the story. People will review more as you get deeper into the plot and there's more action. And if they don't review it means that they liked it anyways, they just didn't think it was spectacular or crappy. Don't give up.
