That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed this little vignette - it's wonderfully well-written. You're in a whole different league from 99% of the poorly worded tripe on fanfic sites! I *love* this particular line: "He suddenly notices how much closer Azula is than she was a mere minute ago, and wonders what they teach at the Firebending Academy these days that allows a young woman to move twenty feet without lifting a foot or being noticed." What a terrifically evocative way to describe both Azula's grace of movement, and Zhao's almost primal reaction to her. Just beautiful writing! Now I shall have to read more of your stuff! |
