Ugh, you're really good at these angsty one-shots, you know. And I use the word angst with the utmost affection.

I tried to imagine what Sirius was thinking and feeling when all of this was going on, and I think you captured his rage and grief really well. I liked this line: "The sudden savage rage cuts through his horror like a knife and Sirius stands, knees cracking painfully." That was a very vivid picture.

Sirius thinking about James's sacrifice was so sad, and the few words of dialogue were really poignant. I also like the way you ended it, with Harry crying. It was perfect. Great job, for the bazillionth time.
