This is a really good summation of Sesshoumaru's mindset. I especially like: "Impossible that power was not the answer." That's hinting at a subtle revelation that most people don't credit Sesshoumaru in their fiction. Nice character portrayal.

I was scouring past all the cheezy, sappy fics for a fic like this one! I'm so glad someone wrote about the recent chapters in the manga, especially one so good. You really put Sesshomaru's feelings for the situation in a very in character manner that made me nearly squeal.
