I loved this whole chapter. Seriously, it's amazing! I've been waiting for what Anko would have them do in the Forest of Death, and how she'd react to Asuka and Hikaru sharing the same bed, and what the reactions of other explosive tag makers would be to Hikaru. And it was all (mostly) in this chapter!

I especially like the sentence: "I will take great pleasure in undercutting your prices until you ~bleed~." The imagery is fantastic.

great chapter. i love your occ, he's so good withou manging to be gary stu(ish), you might want to watch out though, while i don't think he reach it he does seem to be veering that way.

Ouch. The market in Konoha's about to get a very serious shakeup in the coming months, I have no doubt. (Not just tags, either. If there's one thing the effects of the last couple years' gas prices taught me, it's that EVERYTHING about the market is interconnected. Everything.)

And Hikaru's not the only one looking forward to that remark about what constitutes a clan, either. Please just make sure Hikaru's actually there to SEE the Uchiha's face when it happens.

…And now I also wonder how Asuka or Hikaru are going to react, if/when they happen to discover Hinata shyly stalking their new clan head.

Score one for Hikaru!! It's so heartening to see you back in action!! And with such a cutting end scene! Great job!! Anko seems a little miffed at Hikaru's antics with the KB but she needs to be shaken up. The part about Gai was pretty funny too. Hope to see new chapters soon!!

ok, never said it before but I LOVE Hikaru. That end segment... brilliant! And earning som of Anko's respect is harder than mastering an S-rank jutsu, I imagine. Glad to see an update, of any kind. REALLY glad. I imagine Asuka's abilities will really blossom once she gets Chuunin level and starts level elemental manipulation. And who knows, maybe the old pervert will be able to alter her seal. Actually, I am anxiously awaiting for their meeting.

Yeah, I found it weird how Anko was kept out of the storyline after the chunin exams... good job!

It's a shame that you aren't updating this any more, but that's how Naruto fictions go if you start out and focus on the academy days. Too much attention in one relatively small area and after that, the plotline just explodes in complexity. Too hard to give the same attention to detail and character development unless you want to do a lot of work and completely reinvent the Chuunin Exams. I'm not sure if anyone has ever truly accomplished that.

Your fiction is definitely up there in "laugh density". I was guffawing just about every other passage.
