Perfect. You're a master of your craft. Not many people can do flashback scenes well, but you've managed to stay in character and give us all the details we wanted to know about in the movie. You use just the right amount of description. After seeing the movie, I wanted to read a fic that would fill in the "emotional gaps," and this one did it for me.

Perfect. I LOVE this. This was the best scene in the whole movie, because it was the only moment that I wasn't laughing at the sheer stupidity of it - Bill having to whip his son was a truly poignant, heartbreaking moment, and you have captured it beautifully.

Aw. Poor guy. But I loved how this was written with the memory in it.

This was an amazing one shot, and I enjoyed it so much! It was so well written and the flashback was so touching. This brought tears to my eyes, awesome job!

So good tears welled up in my eyes! I loved the flashbacks and how they were tied into the scene. If the POTC people had shown Will and Bootstrap when Bootstrap wasn't dead I think that's how it would have been. Marvelous Darling, absolutely Marvelous!

You tied in the flashbacks very expertly. The reader cannot help but be drawn into a wave of anticipation...they know what will happen, and yet they don't. I'm very fond of this story and I hope you will write many more like it!
