You wrote this a while ago. But I just did find it when I was looking for a FLCL fic with Mamimi/Naota. (nobody really ever writes that many) And you truly did a splendid job! I like that you were able to change Mamimi's past behavior without sounding corny it keeps it from being truly OOC.

Although this might not have been what you initially planned, I thought the way this turned out was amazing :) Even the "ride into the sunset factor" gave this story a carefree touch; a sweet, stress less style. :) Loved it.

Yay! I always wanted them to end up together and when the anime ended with mamimi leaving and naota staying with ninamori I was royally pissed. But your story cheered me up a lot! And as for the 'meeting each other again and running off together' thing I really like it! The concept of mamimi taking naota away from all of his problems: 'his nonchalant girlfriend, his drunken father, and 'I could care less' grandfather, and offering him something more, something better, is really sweet and romantic to me ^-^ But then again I'm a natural romantic so thats no surprise XD Great story I love it!

I'm glad that you made this a lot more substantial than a too-quick, too-easy ending. I'm glad that Mamimi made something out of herself. It's like no one expected it of her, but she proved otherwise.

It's good, but too short, just like the series. I hope you decide to forgo the one-shottedness (I know, it's not a real word) and write more, you've got some talent.

What a nice little story. Are you gonna continue it? I've gotten into FLCL a lot since adult swim started airing it.

At times, I agree with you... The character are slightly sometimes out of character. Fortunately, you gave reasons for that, Mamimi wanting to grow up cause everyone insisted, Naota changing cause Haruko and Mamimi left him. =) as long as there's some reasoning right?

And good job on Naota's narrarating, that's what made me fall in love with the show, that radical, unexplainable view of life, very well done!

Oh...this was the first FLCL story i have ever read. i really liked this. you did a very good job! your mom likes anime? lucky...my mom usually just smiles and nods her head. anyway, you should write more of FLCL stories. they are fun to read.
