I'd call it bittersweet, but that implies the sweet is completely wholesome, and it's not. The love is just there, without a classifying adjective to take away from its intensity - Intensity hidden in understatement. I love this piece.

this is such a gentle and sweet story...I rarely see fanfics on Mushishi, so I'm really, really very happy that you actually crafted such a wonderful tale.
