I know it's been nearly two years, but I hope this hasn't been abandoned. There are so few Tenchi fics that actually follow canon, rarer yet are good ones like this fine piece of fanfiction.

Its ok, I don't agree with some of thw writing styles imposed, However there are some reviewers here stating this is a 'good retelling' Am I to assume that you are copying text from the manga? if so how much because I'm not sure someone who should write so many quotations is writing fanfiction but is simply commiting plagerisim. Anyway, if you can state clearly the connection between this and the manga and that its your own self work and not somebody else's then i don't think you'll get any problems.

um, just our of curiosity, but why are you dictating straight from the tenchi manga?

Very good chapter. I like the way you're tying the manga into the OVA.

Getting good. I don't think Mihoshi snores in the OVA at least. And that's not one of Kiyone's complaints about her in TU. But she does make big messes.@_@

People have to remember that there's a lot of slapstick comedy in the manga. In volume 2 of the manga Ryoko's own attempt to cook didn't turn out very well. But Aeka, with help from Sasami, did make some delicious soup. In vol. 1 Tenchi had to restrain Ryoko from pounding Minagi with a 100 lb. mallet, and later that night Ryoko tried to clobber her with an even larger mallet while Minagi was sleeping. BTW when Yakage attacked Tenchi later, Aeka protected him with her forcefield. Since in this story, the attack takes place after Tenchi has gained a lot more experience and control over his power, I would expect that he would be able to defeat Yakage easily.

You must write more, I'll add it to my alerts! ^_^ The Zero-Ryoko works really well and you don't get many fics (well what I have read) that are after the 3rd OVA

To all who think deathsheadx bashed Ayeka, your wrong... maybe...(spoiler) In the manga vol. 1 Ayeka had attempted to cook for the outing, she had bribed her sister into making the dish, as well as explain the ingredients used. Ryoko comes into the picture and praises Sasami for the food that Ayeka had supposedly made herself. Then it goes on to Ryoko taking a bite of the food Ayeka had actually made, and well you have to read the manga to find out what happend to her after she ate it, but it is not pretty -_-'

I liked this chapter for the most part. I read the volume of the manga you're using in your story and want to point out some things. I think it was written before the last 6 episodes of the OVA which resulted in some discrepancies. It says in one of the Tenchi novels that Aeka can cook but she's not as good as Sasami. She is capable of following a recipe though. She prefers sewing and made the stuffed carrots that are around.

Hmm, A little bit Ayeka bashing... not that nice but ok let it slide.

You really went over the top with the Aeka bashing in this chapter. The way you portrayed her is nothing like she is in the OVA. I can't think of anything worse that she called Ryoko than monster woman, demon, mummy, old and insensitive. And Ryoko hurled her share of insults at Aeka. And they hardly fought at all in the newer episodes that I've seen. Aside from that, Aeka saw Yosho's true appearance in episode 17 of GXP.

Please treat the characters fairly.

This promises to be a very interesting story.

There are some things about Ryoko that I'd like to point out though. She was able to repair Mihoshi's "watch." She used a system of Ryo-oki's to make the floating onsen. This system allows Ryoko to make things that she has a blueprint for and she most likely designed it. She was able to read "girls manga" for tips on how to win Tenchi's love (I think Ranma 1/2 must have been one of them). At the end of episone 12 she was reading a magazine. And there are other things that indicate that her mind was not impaired in any way. She may be foolish at times, like Washu said, but she is smart. Other than that, no criticism.

Oh no! Two ryoko's! Both genuises! The Maskai house is gonna be in turmoil!
