This is a frightful cliffhanger, and I can't wait to see how you resolve it. He's barely put himself back together, and this is going to destroy what little progress he made. If they manage to get him out of there and prove he's innocent, how are they going to manage to heal him after this. He won't *want* to come back. The state he's in, if he can find a sharp enough surface in the cell to open an artery, I'd not be surprised if he actively tries to commit suicide.
