This was excellent. There was so much truth in this fic, the way that Peter symbolises something about loss, and the nature of Elizabeth and Rodney's relationship based on openness. Analysis aside, it was just a great 'I wanna hug them' fic, so thank you very much for posting!

Nice job with the emotion, but I was taken out of it by the preoccupation with Grodin. They both liked him, but he wasn't like their best friend or a close family member. He was just some guy to them, a guy they liked and didn't want to see die, but it wouldn't hit them harder that he died than any of the other people. Good story, though,
