You know this is the first time a story made me feel like this.
Makes me terribly sick to leave a review that would not express the "wow" I'm feeling, and instead call you up and portray my speechlessness to you over the phone.

Because that is not very likely to happen, I'll have to succumb to typing it all. Gah.

First of all, I've always known you were a good writer, and scanning over your fics proved you had a great edge over majority of writers in this category - but perhaps it is my growing dislike of Zutara (weird, it was my OTP before, but I guess I'm hating Katara more than I did before) and blatant acceptance of Zuko with others, that didn't let me enjoy the other ones you had. Pardon.

At first glance at this, I was a little wary at the AUish tendencies, and the OOC aspects, but the sheer emotion seemed to wave it away. It was realistic and relateable, but oddly, not so much, not too much, at the same time. It let the reader know the love they were feeling (hopefully, they've felt it as well at some point), but not the complexity and controversy of it - after all, how many readers are in love with their siblings and part of a royal family? It was such a delicate balance, something that you handled so perfectly well.

I loved the twists, like putting up appearances to keep their parents happy, Iroh's misplaced but needed concern and protection, and Ozai's bastardization of the original show plot for Zuko's journey away from home. This was very well orchestrated, for two lovers trapped under the harsh and unforgiving tradition and the sneers of scandalous palace folk.

It's just... I haven't read a story that made me think, in a long time, before I came upon this. And I'm really glad I did. Simply fantastic.

I might drop in once in a while to read this again. I really, really, really do adore it. You can be sure of that, and I'm sorry if this review did not convey the feeling as well as you did in your story.

Wonderful, it splits my face in a grin of satisfaction. Despite my view points I have no trouble discerning iction from reality, spending a great deal of time in both one learns to trecognize the difference. As such I can take this for what it is a magnificent ASB class Alternate History.

The possibility of this paiting had been flitting about in my head since the season three preimere where Zuko confronted Azula in her bedroom. She looked much better without the mke up. Also as a fan of George RR Martin(who has declared a ban of fanfiction on his work[unnecessary in my opinion, how could one improve on hisperfect saga?]) i know the possibilities. Why I even used it in one of my own non fanfic work.

The feascination is not the carnals, that is the lowest form of affection, born of instinctive desire to mate, not the soul depths. The fact is that this relationship represents one of the last universal taboos in a world where the attitudes are "if it feels good do it" and "What business is it of yours?" Had been alive forty years ago I might hve used homosexuality, but that has become to common and recieves too much acceptance(by which I mean just as many have a negative knee jerk reaction there is also a guilt inmdoctribnated with that reaction). Incest on the other hand is still viewed as vile by all major concerned parties with no if ands or buts.

You mke it flow so nicely, that is essential to strorytelling, especially with fanfiction where you must manipulate the stortline. Reminds of a Japanese proverb recalling the differing personal;ities of the unifiers " If the bird will not sing? Nobunaga says: I will kill it. Hideyoshi says: I will make it want to sing. Tokugawa says: I will wait." You make the bird want to sing.

There is jerk, no break off, the story builds up to a concluion that baring the orginal would seem natural. Both Zuko and Azul suffer from personality disorders, Azula being a more svere case. That combined with the isolation of being royal they commit their empathy to the only person who seems to understand and fully reciprocate their feelings.

Zuko in this story is less sound than OTL(orginal timeline). Due to a great relationship with his sister he is not as attached to his mother, in fact he has resentment due to her meddling in his most valued realtionship. Zuko feels only firther isolted as the world seems determind to destroy his happiness. Still he will be far m,ore dangerous in hunting the Avatar, he is not undermined by his father into loosing confidence in himself, and say what you will he is fighting for love.

Azula TTL(this timeline) is also fatr more dangerous, she still has problems and thanks to her spartanic upbringing will treat most people like sh*t. But she is far stronger because she has a recognized existence supported by her beloved brother. She will do anything to get him back I think.

Oh, and I love the arting shot at Zuko + katara, knee slapping.
