Actually, in one Kathy Reich's books, the character they based Angela off of for the series dies. I forget which one, though.

OMG... That was so sad... But it was good that it ended unhappy... It was just so... so... right in some sort of twisted way...
But it was still really sad.. And I'm not sure who I feel most sorry of.. Temperance and Seeley... well, maybe Angela... She's dead so... But I'm sure she would go to heaven... so she's probably very happy... with lots of guys and parties all the time... So I feel most sorry for... Dr. Goodman... Cuz he's cool and... I don't know... Maybe I'm most sorry for you who have to read about my rambling... Well... I'm just gonna stop now..
