It's an interesting idea, but I don't think it would mean anything realistically. The Japanese government as I've been told has a hands-off approach to all matters of honor unless the government is forced to get involved. This would include seppuku pledges.

Besides, almost all Ranma 1/2 characters have broken laws in practically every volume and involving the law after so long would be somewhat rediculous.

good point. Far as I know about the law in my home country no minor can enter into a contract that has a negative affect against them. It sounded much more law like when I learnt it but, I believe it is part of the International treatment of children treaty that you can usually find in most high schools on a poster somewhere.

Interesting little plotlet. But, as others have said, it really needs a story around it to make it whole.
