Great story - really, really enjoyed it. I was worried at first, thinking it was going to be another Rick's-long-lost-twin-sister type of thing (which is fine in itself, but not what I felt like reading) but you avoided all the clichés. And when you revealed the identity of the man Meg was dreaming about, I actually squee'd in excitement because I was so surprised, and I love being surprised. However, I also loved the end, which was where I had thought you'd been heading with the dream. I hope you've written more Mummy stories, because I'm just going to look now.

Okay, I finally got my account up and working and the first thing I had to do was review this. I need to say right now, congratulations. You managed to write a love interest for Ardeth who was Rick's kind of sister but was not a Mary-Sue. I've read lots of Ardeth/Rick's sister/friend/cousin/relation, but none have managed to pull in of as well as you. The girl is either pathetic and stupid, a smart alek almost exactly like Rick, or is to amazing to be anywhere near believable. You did really great. I noticed this story is really old, so you might not even read this, but if you do please check out my account in a week or so, I'm going to be putting up my own Ardeth story. If you can't find it I didn't get time to finish before vacation. We should be back late July. Please tell me truthfully if I wrote a Sue. It'll probably kill me if I did but I really need a good authors opinion. Awsome story. Thanks so much for a girl I actually like.

I loved this story. Meg and Rick have a sweet relationship, and I love how she is portrayed realistically-she really grows and changes over the course of this story. The tidbit at the end with Ardeth was satisfying...might I hope for more of him in the sequel? I can't wait to read it.

Jen, figured I should say a word or 2 about the one that started it all... after all, I reviewed A Place first... LOL!

This was the beginning & a great one at that. It & the other 2 can stand each on its own, a sign of a great writer. All the little touches, the orphanage, rediscovering Rick, Imhotep's possession of Meg, the emotional tension bet. Meg & Ardeth. Powerfully written story, with far fewer plot holes than TMR!

This story gets better every time I read it. I love this series!

i like this. it's really interesting. but it would have been neat to see what would happen if you hooked up Ardeth Bay and Margaret.

Damn, girl! This was an epic! GREAT story, I loved every little bit, and I just adore Margaret. She's easy to identify with. ;-) I worried at first about Mary Sue-ishness, but those fears were quickly put to rest. From a purely selfish standpoint, I wish you'd write more stories!

Great story, you captured the characters very well. The way you had Imhotep come back through the use of the puzzle box was very creative. I really enjoyed how it ended though, that she had a home, Ardeth admiring her, and saving the world with a happy ending. Excellent writting hope to read more of your stories.
