Well, it might be like, a Harry-lover thing, where Harry dies, and she is depressed, and feels lost and without an anchor, so she goes to the lake trying to find stability, and instead doesn't and the good evil statement might mean that no matter who you are you feel pain. Hm, the narcissus? She had to move on and focus on getting her life back, from the ashes. I just over analyzed did I not? Hmm. Too bad.

This is very beautifully done. The drabble-ness way(as you call it) makes for an interesting read. The words flow about on ones tongue as they read and float about in their head painting a picture that doesn't add up all at once, but slowly comes together. I'm not sure who exactly it is that is giving us this view, but personally, and I may be wrong here, it seems to me like these are Lily's thoughts. Perhaps after going into hiding.
