after seeing DMC, i always cringe at that line. whenever i think of him saying 'well, i think we can afford to give him one day's head start,' i always think, 'no, no you can't,' because that's whose fault it is really. not will or jack's, although partially it is. the sad thing is that norrington made the right choice when he let jack go, but look where it lead him.
