Marcus S. Lazarus 7/18/10 . chapter 14Interesting crossover concept, I have to admit (Particularly since you avoid the usual route followed by such crossovers of having Scott and Buffy being related).
The idea of Magneto being interested in Cordelia to try and duplicate the feat of her ‘artificial’ mutation is one of those simple concepts that is also so brilliant you’re amazed more people haven’t done it, and your subsequent exploration of the consequences as the X-Men help Cordelia’s body complete its transformation and the interaction between the two groups worked out very well.
Ranging from Rogue’s discovery that Angel is immune to her powers to Mystique’s attempts to undermine Cordelia’s faith in Angel- to say nothing of the intriguing possibilities presented by Wesley and Storm developing ANY kind of interest in each other- you created some intriguing concepts that I greatly enjoyed reading about.
The bit with the ‘First Night’ and the prophecy angle accompanying were introduced a bit suddenly for my taste- it felt a bit like you’d just stuck them into the plot to draw it out after Magneto’s prisoners managed to escape; we seemed to go from ‘Magneto needs Cordelia to try and perfect his mutant-maker’ to ‘prophecy of demon uprising’ rather quickly-, but the consequences were definitely interesting.
If nothing else, Darla’s attempt to bring Angelus back only for Angel to manage to ‘kill’ his demon while simultaneously remaining alive himself made for a rather intriguing twist, to say nothing of the ‘new’ status quo you’ve established at the conclusion...
Any chance of further stories in this series? |
Luis 8/4/02 . chapter 14 Liked the story - a lot. Any chance of writing a sequel to this story soon? |
Arekanderu 7/29/02 . chapter 14It was great. One of the best crossovers i have ever read |
B 4/24/02 . chapter 10 Cool story. Have you ever considered that Adam was the Magneto of the buffyverse? Bringing humans and demons together. Surgically. |
harlequin 3/14/02 . chapter 1 First Night was a really interesting read. I started and couldn't stop reading it. I loved the way you approached all the relationships. The plot was really great. Keep up the good work. |
Sarah 1/25/02 . chapter 14 Holy Mother of God, this was *excellent*. You rock. |
Princess Ruby 1/1/02 . chapter 14 It took me more than forever to read that story! I can't even begin to imagine how long it took you to write it! It was amazing, you have an amazing ability to delve deep into the feelings and emotions of each character. I hope you continue writing because that was truly one of the best stories that I have ever read. |
Daylight 11/16/01 . chapter 2 I'm in the middle of reading this and am quite enjoying it, but I must point something out. Ch. 2 begins with "Angel felt the pulse under his jaw beat slightly," Remember: Angelvampire, vampiredead, deadno heart beat or pulse. |
Te 11/13/01 . chapter 14 -breathless- Oh wow. I have long been a fan of your writing, especially because you handle the secondary characters as if they were the main, giving such depth and feeling to their parts. This story is no different with Gambit and Storm just turning me into a gurgling puddle. But OH NO, please don't leave the story there with Stormy all "I don't know"! -sobs- There's gotta be a happy ending right? -fingers crossed- Pretty please? But Bravo! |
eshell 9/27/01 . chapter 14 FAN FREAKIN' TASTIC! It took me almost eight hours to read this, and it was worth every second. I absolutely loved it. |
Marika 9/3/01 . chapter 14 Amazing. A great combination of the two worlds, and a wonderful story. Hope to see more writing from you soon. |
Maria3 8/29/01 . chapter 14This was one of the best stories I have read in a long time. You better consisder a job writing your own stories. Try making an original. |
Liz 7/21/01 . chapter 7 This is wonderfuly written, the emotions go so deep... I like the romance between Cordy and Angel and Logan and Rogue (and the parallels in their relationships), in the movie I really got a vibe as if they Logan and Marie liked each other, its nice to see that played out a little... can't wait for the next part to find out what happens! |
steve 7/14/01 . chapter 7 You focus to much on the relationships. Everyone is curious as to whether or not Cordelia will live, and you give us scenes how everyone is hot to jump everyone elses bones. FYI: Logon was always hot for Jean first and formost. Also, In the comics he had a thing for Storm. Attraction to Rogue was never part of the deal, and considering their age diferences, Logan may find it disgusting. But they were always close friends. The action does not move along extremely well as you constantly focus on on who loves who. What's Magneto up to? He is curiously absent from the action. As to Cordelia and Angel being together, I honestly just don't see it. No indication like that was ever given in the series. The main thing I would like to stress is the action does not move along fast enough. Rogue and Cordelia escaped from Mangneto and he has not come looking for them? Magneto definitely knows where they are based. |
Rhoboat 7/8/01 . chapter 6Do keep up the good work! |
