I loved this, espeically the end when you are able to see Caleb use this ornament as a connection with Kirsten while she is away at college and through present time. Really touching!

fantastic job! the end was touching lol... its so wierd to read stories about kirsten growing up, with her mom, hailey and a young caleb just because you picture where he is before he dies and its like haha he was married to julie and kirsten was all he had left and she never got along with him... his life just went from bad to worse. i kind of feel bad for him. but not really! lol.

my favorite lines:

“Carefully, daddy,” Kirsten ordered.

Caleb laughed softly and carefully hung the angel at the front of the Christmas tree. He took a step back, Kirsten still in his arms, and they studied the tree. -its like she's talking to seth but 35 years before!

For Caleb, it was proof of his success. Proof that he belonged here in Newport.- this completely captures his personality.

The year after Seth was born, Caleb carried out his task as he cradled the small bundle of clumsy limbs and black hair in his arm, the place that Kirsten had occupied so many times before.-this was really cute!

The Nichol family is love. Christmas is love. This fic is L O V E.

It made me cry, so it's gotta be good! It's like totally squeeworthy and just so sweet and cute... I really love it!
