| Kitsune 2007-07-09 ch 5, anon. | abuseI honestly wanted to say 'Nicely Done.' But that's an understatement. A huge one at that. This was really amazing!! I enjoyed it so much!! Honestly! It had me going to wikipedia and google nonstop, I'll admit. It fascinated me how much I couldn't remeber or didn't know about a show I loved so much. The best part about your story is that all of it (well everything that would have occured during the series) was true to the show. I leanred a lot. I had no idea Warhawk was Grenn Lanturn's son. (Did know about Terry and Bruce, but I refused to miss the would be last episode.) Anyway, though I absolutely LOVED the story, I would like to know one thing that confused me. In this story did Green Lanturn died in a factory accident? |
| Karene 2007-06-28 ch 5, | abuseLoved it! :D I almost started crying with the last few paragraphs involving Shayera's passing; involving her laugh lines and that life will get better. *sob* :D I'm a BMWW shipper, but knowing it has a tragic ending is always a damper in the fics. At least Shayera/John leave a legacy and it's absolutely incredible. You've done an awesome job with this fic. :D |
| mage-cat 2007-06-15 ch 5, | abuseI don't reveiw if I don't have a strong opinion. |
| Tracey Claybon 2007-04-29 ch 5, | abuseI wanted to compliment you on Time and Tide - it's well thought out, and I enjoyed reading it... I hope to see more from you. T |
| charm 2007-01-25 ch 5, anon. | abuseFabulous story yet again, with my favorite patchwork family, Rex, Merina and Arthur. I sure hope this won't be your last story for this fandom because you do it spot on. And I'd love glimpses into Arthur's future as Waterbird. ^_^ p.s. I just discovered "Flash by Northwest". Score. |
| CrazyBlonde-Animeluver 2007-01-10 ch 3, | abuseAwesome! Timetraveling is cool. |
| Sailor Sol 2006-10-30 ch 5, | abuseSo yes. I read your author's note at the end of this chapter, and you guilt-tripped me into leaving a response to your question. A long time ago (almost six years now!), I used to be one of those crazy, teeny-bopper type fangirls who'd leave reviews along the lines of "OMG, lolz, i luved this! rite more plz!!" And then I grew up and stopped writing reviews altogether. Sometimes, if something moves me really deeply, or I have some serious constructive criticism, I'll leave a review. But most of the time, I have nothing to say, and I think it cheapens the story by leaving a review along the lines of "Good job, I liked your story!" It doesn't seem personal. I did, in fact, enjoy your story though. Proof enough is that I finished reading it, and I also went on to read other stories that you have written as well. But it's nothing personal. If it makes you feel any better, I don't leave reviews for my best friend's stories, either! |
| jennielf 2006-10-29 ch 5, | abuseI reviewed another story of yours earlier tonight, and I think i said it best there...your chracterizations and dialogue is some of the best I read. anywhere. professional or not. The time travel made my head hurt (it always does), but you once again pull off a story that a) i can completely visualize in my head and b) Touches me deeply (oh and) c) for the first time, makes me want to create LJ icons with the quotes "Batman chased away fear." and "Time travel rule number one. Find Batman." :) As always, it is an honor reading your stories. Please post more. :) |
| Foolhammer 2006-09-26 ch 5, anon. | abuseI love this story; all the "R" verse, really- you've managed to continue JLU wonderfully, and I hope a lack of reviews doesn't dissuade you from further exploring this fandom- I'd really like to see more of Animal Girl and Duckboy, as well as the continuing story of the Stewarts. As to why I tend not to review, I try to make sure I've more to say than "Great story, write more!" when I review a fic of any stripe. Unfortunately, this means that when I come across the writings of a particularly good author, such as yourself, I tend not to review, as I cannot think of any constructive criticism, or any criticism at all, really. I'm not the type to write fan letters to published authors whose books i've enjoyed, either- I just make sure to buy more of their books. I guess I'm more of a passive-type consumer of fiction. Anyway, keep up the good work! This is one lurking reader who always enjoys your stories! |
| darklover 2006-09-13 ch 5, | abuseI loved this story. It was fantastic. It sucks that people are lazy to review but I can understand. But when a story's really good u just gotta get rid of the laziness. |
| Wally-West-Go-Zoom 2006-08-30 ch 3, | abuseoh, my God! Freaking awesome! I LOVE it! |
| WOPR 2006-08-24 ch 5, anon. | abuseGreat Fic. On the topic of reviews... I review about 20% of the fics I read. Perhaps I'm lazy, but being "good enough to read" isn't enough to get me to drop a line. I need to really like a fic to review it. |
| smile7499 2006-08-24 ch 5, | abuseThis is a great story. I love how you used the time travel episode to set this story up, and you did a great job with all the characterizations and plot. I love post-JLU universes, can we make this canon? As for the reviewers, I think that's the natural tendency on ff.n, because it is so anonymous. I've read some of your stuff on livejournal, and I think that when people read fics there, they feel more compelled to write good reviews, because LJ is a bit more personal. |
| batfan7 2006-08-24 ch 5, | abuseFun story. I really enjoyed it and thought you did a fantastic job maintaining detail and continuity. The only minor quibbles I have were at the very first chapter I had a difficult time following who was related to who with all the 'Dads' being refered to. Also you didn't follow up with what Arthur told Grodd about who Batman was (I assume he said Terry so they couldn't find Bruce?) Overall though I loved it. I especially enjoyed the way Robin acted "If there's a problem with time, find Batman!", she was very cute. As a side note on people who don't review, in my personal opinion it's probably either because people don't feel like they have anything to say that would make a difference to you (kind of mixture of lack of self-confidence and the mistaken belief that you wouldn't care), or a belief that they'll remain more annonyomous (don't want to admit they read 'kid stuff'). But that's just my personal opinion. :-) Oh, and please keep posting here. I rarely look at JLA Unlimited and have no clue where to find good stories on Livejournal, so I'd miss your stuff. |
| Riana1 2006-08-23 ch 5, | abuseThis was a bloody brillant story. I love your characterization of Merina, Rex, and Arthur; you have truly made them yours. |
