And I was surprised that I could not find it anywhere. The RKdreams site is down, and you have not published it on FF. So I really hope that you don't mind me posting it on FF. I take absolutely NO credit for it whatsoever, and have made it clear that it is your story. But I think it is just too good not to be on FF!
