After reading Master and Hound, I checked out your profile and was surprised to see that you write One Piece fics as well. It was a pleasant surprise. Anyway, this was quite insightful and easy to read. I thought it flowed particularly well. I'll check out your other works when I have the time. I have work in a few hours...and haven't exactly slept yet. Keep up the good work.

I love Zoro/Sanji to pieces, truly I do, but what I love better is when they actually have to talk to each other and they can't quite do it. It takes a very good author to make two stubborn idiots to talk to each other, not just talk but listen and maybe offer advice that the other might take, reluctantly (so they can still appear very *manly* even while crying). And the line about Sanji being straight was priceless because despite great love and fangirliness, he is so much a heterosexual nineteen year old.
Zoro seems a touch bit more observant than I would have given him credit for, especially when it comes to Sanji (Luffy I would believe he'd notice, if only because he'd been around him more, but I'm fairly early in the series so that might change my perception some). I would almost suggest having the storm-part be earlier since I had assumed that Sanji had been troubled by was an attack, by pirates, marines, whatever else Oda's creates in his crazy head, but the flashback is incorporated fairly nicely, a moment when telling is better than showing since it's within Zoro's thoughts purely for the audience. Altogether it brings a very interesting perspective on Sanji's almost involuntary reaction to women and how he has to balance that with his loyalty to Luffy, his captain.
Nice writing, particularly at making sure nothing quite goes over the top, especially the angst but also just the relationship between Zoro and Sanji. You show all sorts of interesting sides to Sanji without making him a caricature. I enjoyed it greatly.

that was really good. there are too few fics out there that try to show the friendship between the two of them (and way too many slashes between them). i really enjoyed it!

This is truly awesome. I love this story so much!! You portrayed Sanji and Zoro so well...the imagery and description and everything...just...*sigh* It's just so sweet and heart-warming to see Zoro care for his crewmates.

In my opinion Sanji is likely to do such a thing and then feel guilty later *pats Sanji*...they're so in character. I haven't read such a nice nakamaship fic in a long time. Really enjoyed it. Alot^_^ *beams*

As for predator...don't worry, take your time. I'll be waiting patiently for it.^^

You have a wonderful writing style and a really good sense of pacing. I didn't agree with some of the characterizations or the arguments about Zoro and Sanji's relationship that you presented, but it was a really well-written story and I enjoyed reading it to the end. (Sorry - a lefthanded compliment, I know.) My main concern was how Zoro starts out sympathetic and ready to talk. From my interpretation of him in the manga, he's a *terrible* mediator, both in normal circumstances and when it really matters. So it might be effective to have more of a lead-up. However, I really liked the distinction he made - that it wouldn't have been better to save Luffy at the expense of someone else. Anyway, thanks for giving a different slant on the Zoro-Sanji relationship!
