marvelous! i actually like the a/n and the idea that harry slew the basilisk using "Godric's mantelpiece ornament". i dunno some kinda humor there. anyways...it was real cute and i like that it was from salazar's pov and not godric's, which may have been slightly random. good job!

This was FANTASTIC!! Loved it. Is this a one-shot? 'Cuase I could see this as a continuing fic. Rowena getting Godric odd gifts, like a bright shiny new hat with a big plume... Or maybe another one-shot of Harry finding Godric's REAL sword and wondering who would ever have wanted something that's covered in dull brown spots. Hehe, have the plot bunnies if ya want 'em. You just gave me one or two. :p

I had actually noticed the sword as well, and I've always thought that there's no way Godric Gryffindor would use a sword that shiny or puny. It seemed REALLY small to me, as well as flamboyant.

Anyway, I really enjoyed this little fic. Godric amused me. =D

This is brilliant. So very, very Gryffindor-like to prefer a simple, useful tool over an extravagant weapon that is basically useless because of its weight. And I like that you hinted at Rowena/Godric (at least, I thought you did... but I tend to pull things out of thin air because I like Rowena/Godric, so if you didn't intentionally put Rowena/Godric in, then I apologize... but if it's there on purpose, then I love it! Haha... ha... I'm so not funny. And if you're like me you'll show this review to your friend and be like, "Wow... some fanfiction reviewers are so strange...") But in the end, it's a great little story. :-)

I'd never thought about that, but you're right, Godric would go for usefulness rather than ornamentation in a sword. This story makes it rather ironic that Harry uses that sword to kill the basilisk. Maybe it was pointless, but it was funny... Good job! You should write more about the Founders!
