nightdragon0 2006-10-27 ch 1,	abuseVery nice idea of not only letting Beau feature mainly in it, but telling it from his point of view as well. That's something you won't expect to see too often. Makes a nice change from Artha always running the show. Just to say, I've read the completed version of this story from your site. I guess one was of describing it is Beau is a lot smarter than everyone thinks. The thing I like is that he doesn't act so like a mirror image of his human partner (which often tends to be the case in a lot of shows with a dragon/monster-human partnership) in this story. His own thoughts and fears pop up, always being interesting to read. His desparation of 'I'm on my own now, I've got to think!' is done pretty well too. I note that he recalls 2 of the 4 times he went 'evil' during the story. Since 3 of them were of Word's doing, I'd think Beau would still feel bitter towards him. Well, at least the thought had to have crossed his mind, but I suppose his sense of bring peace between human and dragon still prevails. The other thing is I don't think Beau would be one to know a bit about science (in chapter 5). Propheci perhaps, but I don't think it would have been necessary to teach that to a dragon like Beau. I'm sure he could've have equated it to something more basic like 'Ok, so I can touch the ground. That's means I here, I still exist...'. But I can certainly get that Connor would want to tell him some things about the ancient wars. Pretty reasonable too that he picks up the using time travel to meet your past self trick from Word, plus his experience with mag energy would lead him to sources of it. And I'm quite sure he'd know how to play around with gears and levers too. Well, that's just my thoughts. Anyways, great job!

I do hope, though, that we get to see what has happened to Beau's troup of human's in this bleak future. Keep up the good work.
