This was brilliant. I'm glad I found this site and found your writing. The only thing I'm not sure of is if Achilles had a son and Odysseus told him in Hades. Did you make that part up? I love that the doctor punched out Heph for ignoring his instructions. He certainly had a right to be mad. I wish Alex had invaded Arabia. Maybe things would be different if he had.

Absolutely hilarious! Oh, Alexander and Hephaestion, you two lovable /dorks/. And I love the bit about the heroes getting all fed up! Wonder what Achilles and Patroclus would have to say after learning about what Alexander and Hephaestion did at their graves. Aww.

This must sound awfully trite to you but I could really give myself a bash in the head for not having read this story earlier. This is absolutely great (but then which of your stories are not?). I really enjoyed it. I've written a story entitled "The Long, Slow Journey into the Light" which seemed to have made a lot ot readers cry. Had I read this story before then I could have gotten a less sad perspective. Now I know what happened to Phaistion and Xandros when they finally reached the "Light". Can we expect another AtG story from you soon? That would be absolutely lovely if you did. Thanks for sharing this.

I loved this one! Completely my kind of humour! And some sweetness too, of course. I completely loved Charon's increasingly bad mood and snarky comments, the mirror Athena gave, and the way you mix mythology with Alexander/Hephaestion just keeps making for wonderful stories.

Thank you thank you thank you for reviewing my story. I would otherwise never have found this gem. It's the first story I've read in the Alexander fandom, and it's a wonderful introduction. Extremely well-written, clever, insightful, with marvelous bits of "real" mythology salted in...everything you want out of a story.
