Darkly desparing, yet the sweeter for it. I did enjoy the tale, but I have one small suggestion for you. At the end, separate the sentance into two parts for more effect (ie. "His heart didn't follow. It stayed in that room."). Perhaps even put the "With her" on a separate line for added emphasis.

Poor Anakin. Part of me feels really bad for him in this story, because you can clearly see his grief and anguish. But the rational part of me says that he did this all himself, and has no one but himself to blame for all this. Anakin is the one who allowed it to happen. Despite all that, this was still very well done.
