Yay, it's Wade! First reaction. At least Keya and us will be able to make some sense out of this.

An interesting start, but some of the phrasing has me confused. I think a bit of editing might be in order.

It's clear to you who's who, but the reader needs a bit more info, like: when is this taking place? Is the ancestor Kim that's been mentioned "our" Kim, or one of HER ancestors? Or decendent, for that matter?

The quick little introductory bio sketch is fine, except I don't like things that stop the smooth flow of a story. They should be at the end of the chapter.

I'm confused. Kim is Jim's wife, but he's also her cousin? It's the wording that has me confused.

I think the OC bio thing is quite smart, really! Great idea! Wonderfully haunting and myterious! You're very good at horror stories! I'll be keeping my eye on this one.
