Very very nicely written, but you might want to fix up the paragraphing, made it a tad difficult to read.

Y'know, kind of hard to get story reviews if they are from Members only, but here goes...You like to use the word Then a lot. A beta reader would be helpful, or try reading the thing out loud to yourself...it'll make a difference. Overall, I liked the story. I even printed it to read at home. I always liked the actor who played Amis...you probably know he's guested in several Trek eps. The plot is good, but it would be helpful if you separated Mike's dream sequences with spaces or asterikses or something. It will keep the scenes separated in the reader's mind.
