2008-06-04 . chapter 10
Gods, I just love everything you write XD This is definitely one of my favorite yaoi pairings ever, and until I read your stories I was one of those "Oh yeah, they're totally just in it for sexual release" people. But you opened my eyes!

You also kinda inspired me to write some fics of my own. So there you have it, pure blatant flattery...Bask in it, why don't you?

But this one is probably my favorite story you've written. It's beautiful. And the Longing series? I kid you not, I cried. I can only hope you decide to write more 53 goodness in the future.

This is has to be the best piece of short fiction that I have ever read in my entire life. It's beauty moved me to tears, it's depth caused me to do some deep internal evaluating of myself. This was beyond words to describe the wonder that it invoked in me, and the skill that you and your assistant(s) posses to write this. Thank you so much for posting this.

Man...I wish I knew the words that could measure up to the marvelousness of this fic, but...I truly cannot. Your works are like crack to me, I swear. And your words and feelings behind all of them, it just...I just don't know. Words like 'wonderful' and 'grand' fall so short. I love how well you can get into their heads and write their feelings, without changing "them". I won't lie: Goku's POV nearly made me cry. And Sanzo's and Gojyo made me want so, so badly want what they have (I have yet to experience the sweet, unbinding bliss of love between lovers). And Hakkai...that just made my heart smile, truly smile. Gosh...It's like every time I read one of your fics (especially 53 ones) I feel so at peace and happy. How do you that? So, so amazing. I really loved this. I don't know if you are still writing, but if you aren't, I emplore (with deep admiration and patience) that you write more. Because I personally think the world would benefit greatly from writings such as yours (I know I have).

...Oh gosh, I'm such a suck-up. :D

Sincerely, from an adoring and admiring fan,'

Another very original story structure with this one, with telling each chapter with a different character's viewpoint. It is further proof of what I have said regarding this author's uncanny ability to so believably put us inside each person's head, and give us a window into their individual lives, experiences, and views of the world. The chapter where Son Goku is looking towards the future (and kind of trying not to do so because of some foreboding feelings) made my eyes tear up - it was refreshing to see more depth to him beyond the usual dumb hungy monkey routine.

You do not write a story...you write lyrical prose. It moves with grace and poise as a leaf flows slowly down a stream. It is so very beautiful and meaningful.

So, 10 minutes after reading it, I've recomposed myself to the state to be able to write the review.

You already know you're a Goddess for me, and that you cold make Sanzo tell you this... I am truly, honestly impressed.
I was plastered to the screen, and started to cry when I read the last part.

This is love.

Well, I don't know exactly how to tell you this, because everything I could find in my dictionary – like, love or adore – is not enough.

This was just perfect, but even perfect is too few to describe this, isn't it?

While reading this I tought I was talking with them, reading their souls, feeling their emotions... Gojyo's and Sanzo's chapters were brilliant, romantic, just... perfect. And the same were Goku's ones.

I loved this, even if love is not enough.

You did vey well, I'm glad I could read something like this.

Bravo!

Kiss, Mapi-chan.

you know now that i've seen the lyrics for the song it does fit. at first i wasn't sure about the song thinking i'd never heard it before, but when written out my brain went into "oh yeah that one" mode.
so as i do with all your stories i yell YAY and run to give you great big hug.

This is the first time I've read through this story, and I don't know even where to begin reviewing, as it's completely mindblowing. Beautiful, insightful, painful, overwhelming. However, I would like to thank you for your insight that Sanzo is "not cold, but if anything, feels things to the extreme." I think this is surprisingly overlooked by many Saiyuki fanfic authors, when it seems to be the very essence of who Sanzo is.

Hm this song really does suit them. I'd have to go trough my musicfile because it's really different music every time... And often the text doesn't even fit, because I usually take in the memory way more...
If I find any good songs, I'll let you know though!

I have waited so long for this chapter...and you did not dissapoint! How can I even begin to point out all the things that I loved about this? Sanzo's hidden intensity, the way the two opposites fit together (albeit with a little bit of friction now and again), how someone else's belief that you are perfect can actually make you feel that way...this is beautiful. Just beautiful.

Also, I just want to compliment you again on how well you get the voices of this series. Sanzo and Gojyo especially, but all of them, really. Because they all have such special and deep-rooted relationships with each other, and you somehow bring across that depth and turn me into helpless goo without making *them* too gushy (if that makes any sense). I mean, sure, Sanzo and Gojyo get a little mushy, but it fits with Gojyo, and with Sanzo, we know it's all inside his own head, so I can buy that too. Especially since he compliments and insults Gojyo in the same breath.

As I've said before, beautiful peice. And now that it's finished, I'm favoriting it.

I've never heard this song before, but it fits very well. Good job and congrats on another story done! ^_^

Waah... the plotkappas are dancing merrily over this "confession." Usually, I only pin down Gojyo as being the sappy one, but since this is in Sanzo's head (I can't ever imagine him saying it out loud), I guess he can get away with it.

This one just makes me feel fuzzy inside. ^_^

How fitting that I happen to be listening to "Treasure" now, and as I was reading this chapter.

And now I have a lump in my throat.

Yes, this was a very heartfelt and emotional chapter, maybe for me especially because of my love for the bond between these two. And even if you and I don't completely agree on the nature of that bond, we both can still agree that it is a beautiful and unbreakable one.

I enjoyed the hints at the end, the idea that Goku has a sense of what's to come, and a hidden memory of Nataku and the events/characters of Gaiden that are likely to come to the surface.

And the end of this chapter... "We are forever", is one that I think can speak for the heart of any Saiyuki fan, no matter their pairing preferences. And no matter how you look at it, Sanzo and Goku do share something special. As always, I thank you for not choosing to overlook that, no matter how much Sanzo is "in love" with Gojyo in your wonderful fics.
