I liked this a lot. Music as a theme in the fic goes hand-in-glove to how music was such a heavy presence in the movie itself, and you've done a great, sensual job of sketching out Sands's new world. Sands/Ramirez is a pairing that I had never thought of before, but in your hands it works.

You're the only author who can get me to read slash, you know. ;) Probably because it's more about the people than the smut.

I'm glad I'm not the only one having problems with the site's line breaks.
