To be totally honest, you're writing a really incredible piece, and to stop and review in the middle of it...well...it's like when the action gets good in a TV show and then ACK! the dreaded commercial. Ok, so it's not the best excuse for not reviewing, but I will say this story is very deserving of reviews. (I'm surprised myself more haven't been written!) I usually detest 'kiddie-Hardy' stories (usually because they're just not that well-written) but yours rises above the usual dreck. It's very interesting to see how well-defined Frank and Joe's personalities are, even at this young age. Their characters are very endearing, and I truly appreciate that you've taken a lot of care in writing this. And wow - we hardly ever get to hear a peep out of Laura, either in the books or in fanfiction, so thanks so much for bringing her to life, too. The peril faced by mother and sons is riveting. Laura's fears for the safety of Frank and Joe at the hands of the kidnappers, and vice versa is well-handled. So, with that said, I am going to continue with my reading!! |
