I mean...I dont like Dagger/Garnet as much as the next person...like after she goes mute...and your battling...she's all like "Garnet can't concentrate! Healing failed!" she got the marbles knocked back into her. I think she is annoying because she likes Zidane, but she is afraid of what other people think. Liking a theif? Impossible in her words! But I love Zidane so! Ok, back to Kuja and Zidane, I mean, yeah they're brothers, but couldn't you have just had Kuja kiss him on the cheek? Now I need brain soap...but overall I liked your story. It's either a love or hate relationship, huh? Well, thanks to the Pink Tonberry, I modified the language a little, to make the characters sound more like themselves. As for Kuja not being as kind, or the kiss between them: Kuja really wasn't this nice in the game, but he had a certain quality that made me think of both evil and sweetness whenever he showed up. And the kiss...well, I think if Kuja would have gotten the chance, yes, he would've kissed Zidane. You know how unpredictable he is!

I enjoyed this. First off, the words to the song are great. The "Soulless Village" theme from that little town in Terra is one of my favorites, so I coul actually hear it in my head as I read the story and then I tried singing to it (yep...I'm a geek). Also, I just recently finished the game and I must say Kuja was very enigmatic, in my opinion. There's so much I don't understand about him. I think you did well with your description of everything. It flowed well. Thanks!

I totally understand why you'd want to try something different. Zidane/Dagger stories, though of course natural, do become predictable, huh? I like some elements of the story, but the archaic language was a bit intrusive. One very important thing that will distinguish a character in writing is how they speak. Though it may sound romantic, Zidane speaking this way really robs him of his happy-go-lucky nature. Please don't misunderstand me, I'm not a purist as far as these fanfics go, but characterization is a very big element on which I judge stories. I think if the dialogue were a little more natural, you'd really have something nice going here. Right now, it's a little clumsy to read. I hope my review helps!
