Ah, the angsty answer to the question, "What if Heiji never 'gets it' and Kazuha never says anything?" It amused me to think of Heiji actually deciding to date girls instead of corpses--but poor Kazuha! The angst came off very well; Kazuha's emotions weren't overblown, just simple and numb. Kazuha's name was misspelled in the third paragraph from the bottom, but that's it. Great job! Keep writing!

This was a great start to the 40 Nights adventure! (I'm about to begin a new round of Shin/Ran 30 Kisses!) This premise could've gone south very easily, so thanks for keeping it clean. It would seem more natural to keep the standard roles of Heiji being his usual oblivious self and Kazuha going bonkers; also, Heiji would've probably let Kazuha have the sleeping bag--unless it was his, and she forgot to pack her own. But Heiji's subtle denial at the end was priceless! It would be funny if, in a later Night, Heiji has to pay off his gambling debt by becoming Kazuha's slave for the day. Again, great start. Keep writing!
