You made a lot of good and valid points about Watanuki that I overlooked. Points that someone more detached, like Doumeki's grandfather, could see and voice. So many fics are about Doumeki's strength and Watanuki's needing him to protect him (and his denial of that need). I find your story stands out because it's different in pointing out Watanuki's own strength and patience. I enjoyed this fic. Thank you for sharing.
