Nice work with this; sweet and painful and believably tense through the war scenes - the final scene works like an exhale of relief - things are not right, and they may never be, but they're *better.*

I like your Shikamaru, and Temari's line about leaving the angst for the pretty boys is so perfect that it made me stop in my tracks and smile. (It's equally fitting that the war was won two weeks later.) Kudos on the dialogue in particular. ^^
