Takes some guts to redo an ending to such a good movie. Most of your reviewers seem to like it.
The few that are giving constructive criticism, however, seem to be getting an earful from *Emily*. While I agree that full out flaming is absolutely no use to anyone, I can honestly tell you that most of the reviewers only typed constructive criticism.
While it was a little too sappy for my taste, I still enjoyed the idea of Christian and Satine being together in the end. Keep writing!

okay i'm going to have to agree with you. I never heard Marie being reffered to as Madam Zidler, though many people think she is. I've watched it close to twelve times now so, i don't think she is. as for th consumption, it would be very unlikely she would have survived, but we can just pertend. I liked it.

Great Story Thanks for the happy ending. I just saw MR, Loved the movie but Hated the ending. Wanted Them to live Happyly ever After. TUbrulois AKA, Consumptionn is Curable NOW, but not sure WHen the Treatments were dicovered But as you said In That World anything is possible. Well done

First of all, I really enjoyed your story. I didnt even think about all the little unimportant things in here that everyone else is dwelling on. I think that its really dumb for them to point out stuff like that, its a fanfic, it isnt suppose to be perfect. And as for those people complainging about the spoilers and stuff, well, your dumb.. when you read fanfics about movies you havent seen yet, its gonna spoil the movie, because the fanfic is based on the movie.. its common sense. So please, just give this author the credit she deserves because this is a great story.

I love Moulin Rouge very much, and like your story. Although I love the real ending much more, the tragic romance, I like yours. The only thing is you should keep the characters true to who they truley are. But it's a pretty good story, a little predictible, but good none the less!

Great story. But about the Married Marie to Zidler is NOT true. I've seen the Movie 11 times in the theatre and I did not hear madame Zidler, I heard Mosure (can't spell french that well) Zidler and the translation to that is Mr. Zidler plus I own the DVD and the VCD. Great story.

I really like the story except I have a few suggestions you can make:

1)Make the chapters longer.. Expand upon it more, give it more depth...

2)In the movie, Marie IS married to Zidler.

It is very good it just to be more accurate. Because Satine can't just recover from Consumption or known as tuberculosis... Back in the 1900 there was no cure for tuberculosis at that time. And when Satine blushed, remember she is a courtesan and is used to men being around her...

Please continue by the way, and a good start!

WHY DID YOU STOP? THIS IS SO GREAT! I have seen the movie over a dozen times, obsessed, yeah that's me, but this story is just so great, don't stop especially now! It's not fair to leave us hanging like that! The duke comes in with a gun fires it, is really pissed and you stop! What's up with that! Continue continue please!
