I'm not entirely sure if Riku's father is dead or just real sick and lying in a hospital. It doesn't really matter much, though, since the idea is the same, be he dead or dying.

I liked it and I liked it a lot. It was sad and angsty, like most of your stories, and well written. The emotions - despair, sadness - were well displayed. I can just picture Riku on his father's grave or bedside, begging for him to wake up. Well done.

That was beautiful. ♥ Extremely touching, and very heartfelt. I like the POV, it's all very natural and flows together well. And the buildup to the conclusion is just amazing. I love how it goes from lighthearted conversation, to an ending that sounds incredibly sad and desperate. Just... wow.

Oh wow. I got worried a couple chapters in that the Dad was-...Anyways. The ending was...it was like I could feel him waking up you know? Like he was in a coma, and just at the sound of that last statement...

That's so sad yet it's an awesome story but sad. Should I be happy that it's a good story or sad becuase it's sad and makes me want to cry and hug some stuffed animal that is dog that I named Riku or to well err I'm not sure.

I... I love you. Its official. Riku's just heartbreaking in this fic, and I love you so much for writing it. I've never actually read a fic about Riku and his parents -- I must go stalking around the internet to find more now --, so it was really nice to find one like this just when I needed it.

Seems he paid more than one thing to leave the island.. It's so sad; not being around to be with his parents. And we usually take moms and dads for granted, I think.

SAD! You just temporarily destoyed my happy mood. Great, as always, loved it, utterly depressing.
