 dragonlots 2007-10-08 . chapter 3Hello,
Just found your story. Had fun so far reading it. Let you know more about I think later. |
Chateaubriand ou rien 2007-02-26 . chapter 9Woah, this crossover was pretty cool. I saw Firefly not so long ago, and I just finished the entire babylon 5 run last week, and all the voices were okay in my head. It was a great reading.
Ho, and about what you said about the flamer. As painful as it can be to say for a trekkie like me... Babylon 5 IS INDEED the greatest Sci-Fi use ever of the television medium. |
garden-crafter 2006-10-03 . chapter 7Great idea to have River wave her hands through Draal's projection -- very funny ! |
garden-crafter 2006-10-03 . chapter 4Kosh's comment about "They do not belong here" seems to suggest that Serenity is currently in the B5 'verse.
Now that you've mentioned it, Book with his hair sticking out all bushy (like when he scared River) COULD possibly be mistaken for a Centauri with a human hair-style.
It's VERY funny how the crew thinks that the aliens are humans in costumes who are wearing masks. |
garden-crafter 2006-10-03 . chapter 3there might have been a rift in space, that Serenity crossed just before they met the ship that they followed to B5 |
garden-crafter 2006-10-03 . chapter 2great red herring, that the name of Mal's home planet would be so similar to the name of an evil from the Babylon 5 'verse. |
garden-crafter 2006-10-03 . chapter 1I've never seen a firefly/babylon 5 crossover before ... but it looks interesting and I'm curious to see where you take it. |
Lauren Hedgehog 2006-09-28 . chapter 9 Oh :-) I really liked it :-) It's true that you may need a little work on the length, but I found the story to be exciting and original. I absolutely love both series :-)
A note in regard to flames - If people can't even write a grammatically correct sentence, then I wouldn't be overally worried about their opinion on your story ;-) I think you did a great job :-) |
Hilary Weston 2006-09-23 . chapter 9Not bad. It's just a shame it was so short; a story of four thousand words I would have in just one segment (my average length for a chapter is three thousand). I felt I was just getting into it, and it stopped. |
tHe EsChAtOnIc HeReTiC 2006-09-21 . chapter 9 And you call yerself an "Author"? This midget-sized ouvbre doens't stand to its potential! Get out of this forum ye wyrd being! And kill yourself after that! |
tHe ReAl AdMiRaL hErEtIc 2006-09-19 . chapter 7 Ejem, mister. Why are you ** the good image of b5 with such a **-spawned show as Serenity? Better stop here or I'll show you personally a honest "Gorram" act of God! |
Alison M. DOBELL 2006-09-15 . chapter 5 I was so looking forward to reading a Firefly/Babylon 5 crossover so was disappointed that the characters for both shows didn't sound right, Captain Reynolds never refers to his crew as hands and Keffer talking about Babylon 5 the way he did would have made any smart person turn and run as fast as they could in the opposite direction. And Lennier did not learn Mandarin Chinese to help Garibaldi assemble the motorbike, it was Japanese. The only two who came across well were River and Kosh. Keffer's description of Serenity when he first sees the Firefly was nothing like the ship. Such a disappointment as I love both shows passionately. Hope if you decide to write more you will study the characters before trying to depict them. I wasn't going to say anything then considered that you might appreciate someone giving you an honest opinion. None of my comments are intended to offend. |
Julie 2006-09-14 . chapter 4 AGH! Not a cliffhanger!! NO! Please write more soon! I'm really enjoying this story. |
Julie 2006-09-14 . chapter 3 I like how you've let each group is reaching erroneous conclusions about each other! It is very much in character with the tv shows. Also, how the Firefly group aren't aware there are aliens right away, even when seeing them. Likewise, that the B5 characters are so used to aliens that it never occurs to them that these new humans might never have seen one. Very cool! |
Julie 2006-09-14 . chapter 2 I like that you are keeping each of the tv shows as their own separate universes. And using Sector 14 to do it adds to the mystery. Getting the suspicions up of the B5 characters by revealing Mal's home planet's name is certainly going to give the plot some fun. I'm always disappointed in other crossovers that start out with both sides completely trusting the other - much to unrealistic. This story is coming along great! |
