KichigaiKairu 2009-03-14 . chapter 6nyu~~! no more chapters!! it maketh me sad.
this story probably won't ever be updated again, will it...? oh well. I enjoyed it while it lasted. 'twas very well written. |
Zoran 2007-05-03 . chapter 6OUCH! Oh man, Maria can't get this Baby! This is just to wrong! And I feel so sorry for Race(I like that he is really angry, I would be!) But everything really hits Spot in the end. He is the victim! So as cruel as it sounds don't let Maria get that baby! KEEP IT UP |
MushLover92 2007-04-27 . chapter 6I love the skittery and Oscar twist! Brilliant! But sad times between Race and Spot! Why is everyone getting mad at him lately?? He's so cute. But I'm glad he and Maria are nice to each other. At least he has one person. I loved Spike by the way. He was awesome. :) Update soon!

MushLover92 2007-04-27 . chapter 5Well that was very exciting! An update! Much appreciated. Spot is so cute! I do hope Maria forgives him. She definitely should. And i loved the little Spot-Race-Medda scene. Well, Medda on the phone. That was adorable!! Please update again soon!! I'm really glad you came back to write more of this story!

donna79 2007-04-27 . chapter 6I swear I laughed when I found out that Skitts and Oscar where Spike's parents. At least the parents have the right idea. Now if only Maria and Spike could get on the band wagon, that would be great. Race is taking things out on the wrong person though. He should push Spot away. |
donna79 2007-04-27 . chapter 5Oh no, don't tell me she's actually pregnant. I loved that Race fainted. That was hilarious. I'm glad that Maria and Spot are somewhat on speaking terms again. Great chapter. |
'Tis a Tale Worth Telling 2007-04-22 . chapter 6(Expect a better review next chapter. Right now, I'm kind of tired. I know, I know--if I'm tired, why not review later? 'Cause, well... I won't remember later. Oops.)
This story is... quite interesting. In the very best way. I like it very much, and I promise to continue to review--aqnd write better ones.
Cheers! |
 Rustie73 2007-04-22 . chapter 6This chapter is fantastic!
Spike is the perfect character to get under Races skin (as if getting his baby pregnant wasn’t enough).
Your choice of parents for Spike is nothing less than brilliant! I sure didn’t see that one coming. I read "Coloring Outside the Lines" just this past week (for the umpteenth time) and I still didn’t see it coming.
And it’s great to know that Pulitzer’s Odd Couple made a go of it.
Favorite dialog for this one:
“Oh, Jesus Christ, Maria,” Race says, rolling his eyes. “Couldn't you have at least fooled around with someone who speaks English?”
and
“I got plans,” Marcello says coolly. “I ain't got time to take care of some kid.”
“And what, pray tell, are those plans?” Racetrack sits back in his chair and smirks, crossing his arms over his chest.
“Well, I gotta finish bar-tending school and then I'm goin' into the Marines.”
“What do you intend to do in the military?”
“Kill people,” Marcello replies, without the slightest change in his expression.
I love the different ways that Race and Spot are handling the situation. I understand that Maria is Race’s natural child, but Spot has been her parent for most of her life, and raised her along with Race.
I am dying to know what will happen next. |
Rustie73 2007-04-22 . chapter 5I laughed, snickered and guffawed through this entire chapter.
I adore Race and Spot at this age. Spot has a calmer and more mature personality, but the old Spot shines through in his sense of humor. Race, though a formidable person and capable headmaster, still has that wonderful mix of Irish and Italian hysteria. He reverts to his childhood personality at the drop of a hat. Fortunately, Spot is there to carry him through.
I love how relaxed and natural you’ve made their relationship. There is nothing forced about it. They are two people who really were made to be together.
The scene with Race and Medda on the telephone was wonderful. I could clearly envision both parts of that conversation.
You outdid yourself with the scene in the nurse’s office. There are too many lines that I loved to note them all. Here are two of my favorites:
“. . . She probably has, like, salmonella or something. Or leukemia. Oh, my God. . . . ”
“I need to give her a pregnancy test.”
“Race's eyes roll back in his head and I don't even have time to catch him before he hits the floor.”
That last line was priceless.
Thank you for continuing with this story! |
Swiveling Sharpies 2007-04-20 . chapter 5an update! well this chapters awesome and im keeping an eye out for the next one.
update soon please & thanks. |
JerseyInertia 2007-01-01 . chapter 4I love the story and can't wait to see where it goes. |
Rustie73 2006-12-03 . chapter 4I was thrilled to find a new chapter to this story. I was hoping that you hadn’t abandoned it.
It was nice to fid that Spot has one child that openly loves him.
I like the college age Junior. You did a great job with his dialog. It sounded a lot like Racetrack, but was different enough to show Junior’s own personality.
I know that you are setting something up here, but for the life of me I can’t figure out what it is. Please try not to keep me in the dark for too long. |
donna79 2006-12-02 . chapter 4Aww, Junior still calls Race daddy. That's sweet. And yeah, Maria was out of line. But that's normal for a fifteen year old. This was really good. Update when you can. |
donna79 2006-11-12 . chapter 3I like where this story is going. If I were Race I would have done more than talk to Maria. If you know what I mean. I think it's funny that Race thinks he's getting old. Spot's just the person to show him that he's only as young as he feels. |
