suggestion: perhaps writing their conversation in filipino would be better. It would make for better flow because as is, it's a tad stilted. Good idea though and i would've been very interested if you'd gone from that missing scene and had gone AU from there. Perhaps a different reaction from Alena, maybe one that didn't immediately end with Odessa's death...
