I've never considered the actuality of a character from Harry Potter attending church. I believe that this is the second one that I have read where the idea was played upon, but that one featured a stoutly devoted Hermione who cursed her very existence as being a sin in God's eyes; It was a very Anglican approach.
I've never considered at all that absolution could be given for a person's sins, especially sins so grievous as those committed by Severus Snape. Your story has definitely opened up my eyes and gave me something new to ponder.

*Applause* Wow. Very well written, and you did a fantastic job with discription. The only thing I found slightly odd, not bad mind you, just odd, was that the priest used huge words. I know several priests and seminarians, and although they write like that, they don't talk like that. I still loved the story though, and I hope to see a sequal. (Please?)

I cried my way through this. I am not Catholic by faith but the sentiment that resounds through this fic echoes beyond denominal lines. I read in another fic called "A Broken King"

I'm not religious either but I thought it was a really interesting story. I like Snapes conviction that the other boy will muck it up without help. Somehow it comforts me that Harry isn't supposed to do it all alone, no matter what he may think. I did think the story flowed well. I hope you continue this story.

Wow. Oh, my gosh, but that was fantastic! It strikes me that you're not religious, because that's very well done. Then again, I'm Mormon and not Catholic or anything like that, so I'm not sure how "correct" it was, the whole spiritual theme came off very nicely. I've seen fics that vaguely suggest spiritual and religious themes, but nothing that goes as far as this in the actual church building experience. Very psychological on Snape's part--it's always good to see a "weaker" side of him. Beautifully written. I'm amazed.

I like it. Its very good. Only thing I would like to see is how Snape and Draco turn out after the war ends. But I think Snape confessing and the priest listening was great. If you decide to add another chapter I'd definately read it. But, all in all I believe its complete on its own.

I absolutely adore this story. I am a Christian and I was really touched by it and I really liked how you used Snape in this. I feel like he really is an awesome guy. You're a really talented author. KEEP WRITING, PLEASE (AND I DON'T JUST MEAN THIS STORY)
