I'm very impressed by the quality of your writing. The characterisation is strong. I found your interpretation of the relationship between the brothers very pertinent. Why don't you write more regularly? I've always enjoyed Yugioh and this adds to the enjoyment. Thank you.

Eventhough I had a bit of a peek at this before you posted, this was NOT where I expected it to go! Bravo for making us focus on Seto getting out and losing site of anything else occuring. Because of that. Seto's discovery is all the more shocking.

What a great first-chapter-in-two-parts! I admire the way you describe the relationship between the Kaiba brothers and their reaction to the difficult life-threatening situation they are in. And their trust in each other, obviously, their cool understanding and precise thinking. And I love how you really notice Mokuba is a Kaiba TOO.
I adore the pace of the story, but that you are still taking time for description! And the plot is so cool, obviously. Creepy, but cool. I loved the introduction passage...even more creepy...Movies that start like this freak me out, really. But reading is ok, I'm not freaking yet *gg*

Hi! Sorry I missed this being posted the first time around.

I really liked Fubeta's pov -- it's interesting hearing from one of the guys in balck suits who follow Kaiba around and are so devoted to him. And I liked his observations on how the Kaiba brothers operate -- how Kaiba is the more obvious threat but in some ways Mokuba is as dangerous (if not more so).

I also really liked Kaiba's thoughts on Mokuba -- on how young he was to assume the responsibilities he did, and about how he needed a partner not a child and had to trust Mokuba to fill that role. That's a great insight of how they work. As long as his rueful realization that he might have taught Mokuba too well.

And I liked the end quote about the best laid plans of mice and men.

Fascinating and moving. I'm delighted that you included the perspective of Fubeta, a voice not frequently heard from in any of the stories and a very valuable contribution here. Seto's wry humor and Mokuba's slightly hidden depths were wonderfully protrayed. All this with an intensely suspenseful backdrop to the story, and now the added, but nicely foreshadowed, plot twist. I can't wait for more.

Really do love how you are portraying the Kaiba brothers here. Especially the line about Kaiba needing a partner- that certainly describes their relationship. And loved Fubeta's assesment of the brothers, and one can sense the cautious affection he (and Isono) have for their employers. And yes fire does suit Kaiba.

Also really enjoyed the 'joy' Kaiba had blowing things up- and his reaction when confronted by Gozuboro's handywork. Going to be interesting to see what happens when the 'experiment' begins to interact with Kaiba. Hope you can finish this- looking forward to seeing how it is going to develop!

Seto is cutting it very close. He now will have another child to care for. One, that will hopefully, have his great intellect.
Mokuba is really cool too. I like his manipulative style and the way Seto can't really tell what he's thinking or what he will do.

So, it was basically all I remember it to be. The only new thing was the very end, and I must say, it was quite intriguing. Um, you still said something to the effect that Kaiba made a leak in the bottom of the oxygen tank, and I distinctly remember telling you that he could not realistically puncture the tank without it exploding in his face. Now, that would be very funny --imagines Kaiba's expression after being blown up, anime-style, of course-- but, if you were going for the feeling that maybe this could happen in real life, then... no puncturing the high-pressure oxygen tank! That was the only flaw I saw. Other than that... well, you have yet to get me hooked on this, but that could just be because it's slow. Once it picks up, I will have found a new drug.

Would fics be better than drugs, I wonder?

*Winces* That dislocation part was nasty, Dumpling. *Shudders* Anyway, I love your story the way that it is, and thus, I must request that it NOT become Prideshipping. That would just kill the plot and take away from the Kaiba brothers theme.
