2whak4wrds 2006-11-19 . chapter 1I loved this!! It was so sweet...not ooc at all. You said a review would be 'love', but I say a SEQUEL would be 'love'!! lol. PMS.
p.s. I once was an outcast (aka sellie fan)) but now I'm on the fence, closer towards the semma loving. Tho I still love sellie...anyways...WMitF(write more in the future) |
inkslinger.x 2006-10-05 . chapter 1Hey Joa! It's me Sam from DB and fanforum. I just HAD to read this since the summary is so tempting, LOL.
Anywho, I loved it. It was such a cute, sweet Sellie one shot. I just love how Ellie goes to the roof and Sean does too. It shows that they never forgot that Saturday in detention. It made me smile when Sean showed up. =]
I especially love these two paragraphs:
" “My parents didn’t show. I thought they would, but, I guess I was wrong.” Sean simply shrugs it off, as if no big deal. Though, the truth being, a part of him thought that maybe, after everything, they’d actually come to his big day, show their support, and act like true parents.
“Parents suck sometimes,” she begins, “but we have to try our best to grow up and not be like them.” He gives her a look, knowing that she must be speaking about her mother. “My mom didn’t show up to my graduation either.” "
I think it really shows how similar Sean and Ellie still are and always will be. They just come from such similar backgrounds and it reminds me of how they were always able to help each other cope.
I also loved the ending. I'm glad they didn't rush into anything, unlike Eman in *coughcoughHCYMcoughcough*, but began with holding hands, just like they did at the end of Take on Me.
Brilliant, Joa! Bravo!

radiance x 2006-09-16 . chapter 1This was really great. I was skeptical at first because of the Sean/Ellie pairing. I could never get into it that much, but you totally had all of the characters down and made this such an interesting read. I liked the references to Take on Me and the whole gang being together in the beginning. You really captured Sean and Ellie - it was very reminiscent of Take on Me, actually. Very nicely done. |
